The Leesville Police Department is seeking any information in reference to the whereabouts of Roy G. Ramsey.  Ramsey is wanted for Felony Theft and Simple Criminal Damage to Property charges stemming from an incident in Leesville Walmart.

Tribal Trail Run 5K to be held March 23 in Anacoco

The Tribal Trail Run 5K/1 Mile Fun Walk/Run will be held Saturday, March 23, at 8:30 a.m. Louisiana Lions Camp on L. Beauford Road in Anacoco. Proceeds from the event will benefit the Anacoco High School track program.

Race Day Registration and Packet Pick Up starts at 7:30 a.m., with the run beginning at 8:30 a.m. Register online at at http://www.active.com/running/anacoco-la/tribal-trail-run-5k-2013. Pre-registration runs through March 15 is $25. Late registration is $30.

Kisatchie National Forest will close the Kisatchie Hills Wilderness Area of the Kisatchie Ranger District on Feb. 28 until further notice for a controlled burn or “prescribed burn.”

Boundary Road Bridge replacement project begins Feb. 28

Boundary Road Bridge replacement project begins Feb. 28

The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development has announced that the project to replace Boundary Road Bridge ih Leesville will begin on Feb. 28 and will continue for four months.

Guinn Construction will perform the work. The existing bridge is scheduled to be removed on March 4. The roadway will be closed to traffic during the duration of the project.
